The Township of Armour has no curbside pickup. Waste goes to the shared landfill on Chetwynd Road, and the township issues a landfill card with a cash value of $90.00 that covers 30 bags of garbage from January to December. Cards go only to registered owners of occupied residential property. Owners of vacant land and commercial property receive an access pass, and their waste is charged at $3.00 per bag. A lost card is replaced at the owner's expense.
Seasonal renters need a temporary pass arranged by the owner. The township is clear that renters who arrive without one will not be allowed in. The site also has a Reuse Centre for small furniture, sporting goods, toys, books and housewares. It does not take hazardous materials, food waste, liquids, or items it considers unsanitary.
